Mmmm, looks like it might be time for some more pic-a-tures!
So I was recently very excited and honored when my mom found something from her past. Recently she was clearing out some things from her closet when she came across this dress that she had worn for her walk-through ceremony the day before her wedding. She hands it over to me and tells me to see if I can't shimmy into it.
And then (drumroll please) it fit! Now, this is cool enough news in and of itself, but it's especially cool for me since I used to be pretty hefty, and lost weight in the past year. My mom used to be a really teeny little thing (like a size 6 or below). The dress is just a bit tight around the chest, so I probably won't be wearing it much until the summer when I'm hoping I'll have lost a bit more weight about the ribs. (Its a lighter dress anyway, so it's probably a bit too light to be wearing until the summer.)
Here's some picses to proves its! (I totally am not showing you guys my face here because this is before I put my make-up on that day.
And then after that it was my dad's b-day! I made him a Schwartwalder Kirshtorte to celebrate (Dark forest Cherry-liqour cake). Only there were no cherries in season so we substituted raspberries (it was delish!) I even made the whip cream from scratch! Sadly, the photos I took BEFORE we cut into that sucker didn't turn out at all :(.
And these guys were hanging out in our yard that day. They do that quite frequently.
And, just for fun, thought you guys might like to see my office.
Here's where the magic happens! My art desk :)
And here's where the posting happens! (And the writing, and the chatting and the digital painting and the various other things)
